Agreed with Aylmer Fudd. I also have a generally bad feeling about Monahan, but it could be because he played for the 67s and I've got a reverse bias.

He got his 1st point in his 1st game..tonight against the Caps.

Flames took an early lead..made it to 4-1...then Ovechkin woke up..its now 4-3 going into 3rd.

Monahan got his 1st goal tonight in Columbus ~ halfway through 1st, its 2-1 Flames.

Monahan making it shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Regardless of whether he's ready or not, the Flames simply don't have anyone better to play center. I think on most of the teams in the league Monahan would be back in junior now.

I guess that's a pretty good point; they kind of need him on the team, whether it's for the best long term or not.
