  • Round 1 Tickets

Tickets go on sale Monday, April 13th, at 10:00 AM. Kephryn is a huge Habs fan and I'm obviously a huge Sens fan, so we are planning on going to Game 3. Does anyone know what we can expect ticket prices look like? Can we get tickets for ~$150 each in the 300s?

    I'm planning on going too.

Better act FAST. I just realized that I had a "Sens army pre-sale offer" and tickets for Games 3 and 4 are completely sold out. We managed to grab two tickets for Game 6 but there are only a handful left.

The pre-sale code that you have to enter in Capital Tickets is UNITEDINRED

Might have an easier time getting tickets in Montreal, haha. I read the pre-sale was down to single tickets after 5 minutes.

Tomorrow at 10am is the regular sale. You could probably grab some seats.

Yeah I'm looking at Montreal instead if I can't find anything good on stubhub.

If I can't go in person I'll just go to Sens House to watch some games.

"25OFF" is a StubHub code to get $25 off an order

Stubhub already has tickets listed. Would it be safe to buy them now or wait until tomorrow?

I don't know how stubhub works.

If you get there and the ticket doesn't work for whatever reason, you can contact StubHub and they'll get you new tickets.

On the day of the game? Cool. I just found out stubhub is a partner for the senators so that makes me feel better.

Wait, so only SOME of the seats were reserved for pre-sale? As in, instead of buying for Game 6 and potentially missing out if the series doesn't go that long, I could have waited until 10AM tomorrow and actually got tickets to Game 3/4?!

                            Yeah, absolutely. StubHub is safe.

                              Eeek.

With buying tickets, the pre-sale never includes all of the tickets. I'd imagine they threw up around a quarter of the available tickets for sale on StubHub (which means there's still ~7,500 seats left). But, to answer your question, you could have waited until tomorrow and gotten Game 3/4 tickets. If you look on the bright side, you're getting a hell of a deal on seats if it goes to six games. I remember in 2012, going into Game 4, Game 6 tickets were ~$65-70 on StubHub. After they won Game 4 ... good luck finding a seat for under $120.

So, yeah. If you see an official on sale date of Monday at 10AM, that's the best day to buy them. In your case, pre-sale works nice because you didn't care where you were sitting. But for, say, concerts, the best seats usually aren't released until the actual on-sale date. The pre-sale is usually internet-only, and a ton of people still use phone/box offices to get tickets.

Josh, if you have the money, you could get tickets to Game 3/4 tomorrow. If Game 6 happens, you have a choice. Make a nice profit off your Game 6 tickets and actually have a better deal than everyone else, or go to the game and enjoy it.
