Hello all! I wasn't planning on making this public and was just going to PM a couple people but on Josh's recommendation, behold and beware, an advertisement thread for another hockey website.
The Victory Hockey League. No, not named after me. It was formed in 2007, I joined in 2009. I have been in a moderator/commissioner/admin capacity there in some way since around 2010. When I joined it was Season 10, we are now finishing Season 42.
So, what is this? When I was thinking of how to describe this, I came up with two sentences:
1. The basic premise is you write articles or make sigs and earn points to improve your fake hockey player.
2. Basically, it's fantasy hockey and video games taken to an extreme.
It's a niche market no doubt, but I thought perhaps some of you here would be interested in it. I am available and willing to answer any further questions, I wanted to make this as quick and non-intrusive as possible. What I can say is it's not as time consuming as it may sound, I've managed to be active on both here and the VHL for now almost 5 years and that's by being considerably more active than you have to be over there.
I do get some incentive for recruiting so that would be an added bonus for me if anyone here did join - but that's not most important of course, I have had ample opportunity to do so.
So that's it, please let me know if it's something which appeals to you, if you have any questions or whatnot.
