The Buffalo Sabres have made newly acquired forward Ryan O'Reilly their highest-paid player by signing him to a $52.5 million, seven-year contract extension on Friday.

He's a great player. Might be too much on another team, but it shouldn't be too much of a handicap by the time Buffalo really needs the space. -
The contract is $1M salary every year, with signing bonuses making up the bulk of the salary he'll be making. The first year is 10 (!!) million.Comment

It's a first offence and he's rich and famous. He'll get off with a slap on the wrist. Worst case scenario is some community service and a temporarily suspended license while an ignition interlock device is installed on his vehicle. Plus he'll pay a fine that would be big to any of us but an absolute joke to him.Comment

For a normal person, a DUI would mean restrictions on travel between Canada and the US. No such restrictions here, I'm guessing...Comment
