  • List of shows I'm watching

    Ray Donovan
    The Brink
    Ballers
    True Detective
    Power

Out of them I'm really liking Power. True Detective has been a let down up until now(took way to long to get going). The Brink I started late but it's not bad. Ray Donovan is pretty good.

Call me lame, but I really enjoyed Season 1 of Togetherness. Checking out a show called "Reaper" now. It only did two seasons.

Just finished catching up to current on Person of Interest. Great show, but you really have to watch from the beginning if you want to follow along.

Key & Peele has been brutal this season except for 1 episode. Went and saw Dave Chappelle live at Just For Laughs a few weeks ago. I expected more but it was still good. I can see why he has gotten some of the bad press in the last little while. He had no energy

Had no idea he was in town, would have definitely gone. Sounds like I didn't miss much though :/

The show was in Montreal. Tickets went on sale at the beginning of May. I managed to get probably the last 2 seats together. 10 shows, 2 a day, sold out in 48 hours. I think I got the last 2 side by side seats.

It was good and worth the money. I just wish I would have seen him in his prime. He almost seemed worn out or been there done that.

The League is great. I've seen every episode to date, how far in are you? It always makes me think of our league :)

Jon Lajoie is perfect as Taco, Jason Mantzoukas (Rafi) is brilliant, and I love the characters played by Rob Huebel and Seth Rogen.

It's really cool how they're able to get NFL'ers on the show too.

Rafi is amazing! Anytime the gang are ripping on Andre for something I lose it as well.

I haven't really watched in order, just catch it when it's on. It's fast becoming a binge-watch candidate though.

Taco and his obsession with kickers reminds me slightly of my obsession with goalies...lol

Have started watching season 5 of Falling Skies. It's a pretty good show, but at this point I'm pretty much just watching to see where it goes..

Has anyone here watched Riverdale? I thought I'd give it a chance because I enjoyed a lot of recent Netflix releases - Stranger Things, 13 Reasons Why, A Series of Unfortunate Events and The OA.

It's based off the Archie comics - the characters and their background, their town and many places they visit. However, it is definitely not essential to have read the comics when watching the TV show. I've read very limited amounts and didn't miss a thing. The first season is centered around Jason Blossom's mysterious death, which take place shortly before the series starts.

I thought it was a great show, probably a 7.5-8.5/10. A couple scenes, like at parties or clubs, they probably could have done without, but I'm sure they threw it in there to humanize the characters and relate them more to what a typical teenager would do. The show has some flaws. The biggest one, I thought, was the lack of progression towards the discovery of Jason's murderer. It seems like for the first ten episodes, you get no closer to discovering who exactly did it. You learn more about his life and his days before it happened, but it isn't until one of the last episodes you discover who exactly did it. I get why a TV show would do this, however, the best TV kind of has you kicking yourself afterwards for not guessing it sooner because all the hints were there. There was a lot of pointless little hints, I found, that didn't make much sense at the end.

Haven't checked it out yet but it caught my interest, I think I'll give it a shot now. I was a pretty avid reader of the comics when I was younger.

I'm currently finishing Luke Cage. I've really enjoyed the Marvel shows on Netflix recently; Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage are all great. Looking forward to seeing what they do with The Defenders.
