Alex Ovechkin passed Sergei Fedorov on Thursday for most NHL goals scored by a Russian-born player.
Ovechkin scored his 484th goal 7:01 into the third period against the Dallas Stars at Verizon Center.
He went four games without a goal since tying Fedorov with No. 483 on Nov. 7 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He has 484 goals in 777 NHL games, the most of any player since he entered the League in 2005.
Fedorov had 483 in 1,248 games with the Wings, Ducks, CBJ, and Capitals. He was part of a video tribute played after the goal was scored.
