Gallagher will have surgery Monday on two fractured fingers on his left hand and will be out indefinitely. He was injured blocking a slap shot from Islanders defenseman Boychuk at 12:34 of the second period, last night.

Pretty significant loss, Gallagher is a very important player. Montreal has the depth to absorb the loss though. -

As a division rival, it's hard not to realize that could help us. But I really like Gallagher's style as a player and it's hard not to get behind Montreal as a team with the players they have and the kind of game they play.Comment
