Sucks to see it end like this for Phillips. Although the decline had been going on for a few years now, Phillips was a really good player for the team and broke the all time games played record for a reason. Not to mention all of the work he's put in for the community. And although he wasn't that offensive, all of his goals seemed to be big ones *inserts Dean Brown's team record when Chris Phillips scores* -
Owen must be sad-mad. More Cowen and Wiercioch.
Sad to see it end like this, but he had a great run and beat Alfie for most games played as a Senator.. which actually sort of sucks a little bit.
In my opinion, he wasn't going to be a reliable hockey player anymore anyways.Comment

He'll probably get a position in the organization like Alfie so that's pretty cool.
I've been a lot happier with Ceci's game lately and PW seems to be benefiting. Wideman has been an unsung hero since he got the call. PW and Wideman has the potential to be a possession monster in the future. Maybe someone should remove those cinderblocks from Cowen's skates--oh wait, those are his goddamn feet.Comment

Maybe Cowen can be replaced by a cardboard cutout of Chris Phillips? There'd be no loss in mobility and the cutout just may beat Cowen's decision making too.Comment
