On the right wing you have Bobby Ryan who is a superstar in my books. He's not perfect but he's a game breaker. Then you have Mark Stone who's a really reliable two-way forward and is one of the smartest players in the league. Both of those players have already broken the 30 point plateau for this season and missed games. Then you have Michalek, who's out with injury, but he's probably a third line guy right now who can fill in the top six when need be. On the left wing, Mike Hoffman has emerged as a pure goal scorer and sniper. Speed and skill ... he had 27 goals in his rookie season and is only getting better. MacArthur is a great top six guy for the second line. Although he's running into injury problems, he's a shoe in for 20 goals when healthy and plays a solid, gritty game. Then you have Prince coming in as a spark, he's a young player who already looks really good. At centre, you have Turris who, like Stone, is a really reliable guy for the team. He'll probably always be a 60-65 point guy who flirts with 70 a couple of times and gets between 25-30 goals. Zibanejad is still emerging, he's still inconsistent. Once he gains more consistency he's a 60+ point player that plays a skill and power game. He's getting better every year. Pageau is a great third line centre, he's a quick guy with skill and plays the PK. He already has 9 goals and is a threat to score on the PK. And hell, even Zack Smith has 8 goals on the year.

In your opinion, which - if any - of the forwards are expendable in a potential trade to improve the defense?

Well, I'll start of by saying that MacArthur and Michalek would probably not get great value do to their contracts and injuries. So I don't think they'd really be worth discussing. I think Hoffman will be a huge question mark. Ignoring the speculation, will we work out a long-term deal for him? He deserves a nice chunk of money, but do the Sens really have a lot to spend on another forward? You need to think down the road with contracts coming up. Stone, Ryan and Turris are off limits to me. Zibanejad is an interesting one. But I'd like to see what the Sens could get for one of Zibanejad, Lazar or Colin White
