Apparently the Sens have had discussions with the Lightning about acquiring Druin (according to Pierre LeBrun). They want Cody Ceci to be a big part of the deal and the Sens aren't too keen on moving him.

I hope it's true, and I hope the Sens get him, but not for Ceci. I feel like it's premature of Drouin to be making demands, but I really don't know the whole story and could be completely wrong. Still, I feel like this is the kind of trade that only makes sense if we don't give up anything significant. A prospect that could become significant, sure - but not a player at a different position that the team currently needs. Drouin is a playmaking winger with what looks like attitude issues. This isn't another Kyle Turris situation.

I suppose something like Ceci + Prince for Drouin + Sustr could make sense though. Actually that seems like a pretty good foundation for a deal.

Well that lowers his value.. I wonder how Yzerman will react. I suppose the best thing for the team is to get whatever they can for him.

I had been wondering if Yzerman knew something about Drouin that the rest of us don't and kinda thinking he may just be a bust that teams want to avoid. But Josh you raise a great point and the pattern is undeniable. Very intriguing case study.
