  • Game 40: At St Louis

They were trailing 2-0 until very late in the 2nd period, when Hoffman scored on the PP, from Ryan & Karlsson. Ryan tied the game early in 3rd, sent the game to OT...and he scored the winner halfway through. I don't know how well they played, I couldn't watch..but I'm happy they pulled a win out of that one.

Didn't really get a chance to watch much of this game, but it seemed they played well. A much needed win.

Interesting fact: This is the third consecutive game in St. Louis where the Sens have overcome a a two goal deficit and came back in the third to win the game. If you're a Blues fan, don't buy tickets for the Sens game

I saw the third and the OT. Both goals on Elliott were very weak. Hoffman got one to squeak through him. Ryan pulled a Brian Lee from the blueline, weak floating wrister with just enough of a screen from Stone in front.

The OT goal was more luck than anything else, Ryan blew a tire but St Louis couldn't clear and that was that.

I thought St Louis just lacked that final bit of quality when it came to taking the shot. They were pressing, great cycle and had the Sens pinned at times but couldn't get the goal.
