That was an ugly 1st in many ways. They were playing sloppy, early on....and then the reffing was not the best..... How is it that Ryan gets highsticked on the nose....it bleeds, you can see it on his jersey, his nostrils are plugged... ..but the Flames get only a minor. Beyond me!! :261: Even the commentators where scratching their heads on that one..:noidea:

Anyways, Smith scored on the PP .. Glad they got on the board before the end of the 1st.

Following sequence, pretty sure Anderson was interfered with, deep in his kitchen. Oh well....

Score at the end of the 1st is 2-1 Flames

Pageau with an empty neter.....from Stone and this seals the deal!! Sens get away with a huge win. Honestly, one they didn't really deserve..but we'll take it for the ones they did deserve and didn't get!!

        Go Sens!!

Wow, I can't believe that. The Sens were down 4-2 and Zibanejad scored a natural hat trick in 2:38 to pull the Sens ahead and win the game.

Karlsson with two assists gives him 67 points. Stone with three assists gives him 49 points. I wouldn't be surprised if he finishes the season with 70 points...just saying.

Also apparently the Sens made a big offer today for Drouin. We'll see what happens here

Calgary and Vancouver games were mirror images. Ottawa outplays Van for all but five minutes and lose. Calgary outplays Ottawa for all but five minutes and lose. Ottawa has no business in the playoffs but I'll take what I can get. I'm gonna go on record right now and say that I like the personnel on this team and I am so fed up with DC. Bryan Murray: good at players mostly, bad at coaches all the time.

Let's keep in mind that DC is Melnyk's guy, not Murray's.

Indeed. I was a big fan of The Walrus, but honestly it didn't seem like he really wanted to be here anyways.

I realize that great coaches are few and far between and that lots of teams have this problem but that being said, this is all a result of the old boy's club mentality of the hockey community.

I remember, around the time PMac was hired, thinking that the Sens should have given a shot to Kurt Kleinendorst, the coach that won the Calder Cup with Bingo. I wonder what happened to that guy..
