It was the Panama Papers that did him in.

Why the hell was Walmsley fired? Too many wraparound goals?

All signs point to Claude Julien being fired shortly, as well. From every reporter out there, it would appear that Ottawa would have a lot of interest. It'll be interesting to see if the team is willing to pay his price tag, and finally bring in an experienced, elite coach.

Dorion did give Julien his first big hockey job.. Julien is also from Orleans.

Dorion claims that Melnyk has given him the green light to hire the best coach available. He also said that they would prefer the new coach to have NHL experience, and they are going to let him hire his own staff.

If we are hiring Claude Julien, I'll be excited to see where this team goes, going forward. Although there's some concern that Dorion will just be a Murray parrot, I've been really impressed with his two press conferences he's had. He's talking about being a finalist for one of the top prospects in college right now, and that White will likely not play in the NHL next year. He realizes the Sens have been rushing their prospects.

I think with a new GM, a new (hopefully) established coach, perhaps we'll take on more of an identity.

Well that's certainly positive news. Hopefully it's true.
