So just found a stat from Elliotte Friedman, in all seasons since the implementation of the shootout (2005-06 onwards ignoring 2013), only three teams which were 4 or more points out of the playoffs on Nov. 1 made the playoffs in the end. :/Comment

2006-07 Flames, 2010-11 Sabres, 2011-12 Bruins. Think they all were out in round 1.

Another loss today. Although you can take away positives, such as the fact we only let 35 shots through this time and we got a point, the big picture is we didn't get the win. That's the most important thing. We had a lot of bad luck on the 3-2 Stars goal (we put it in our own net) but also had some weird, weird luck on the Bobby Ryan tying goal where his stick shattered and through an off ball at Lehtonen.
All in all, this was a very winnable game and we lost it. The Islanders game was winnable, and we lost it. The Chicago game, we were in a position to win, and we lost it. Next three games are against Columbus, Montreal and Florida.Comment

If Desharnais plays more than 15 minutes, Boullion plays more than 16 minutes and Subban plays less than 25, you'll beat us.Comment
