Aaand the first news I'm hearing out of the winter meetings about MLB's new CBA is that--it's done. Quick and painless like a bandaid. Not that i'm inferring that the NHL is the MLB's idiot cousin but yes I am.

Difference being is MLB has no real cap system in place like the NHL. Or a Bettman to screw it all up.
