World Series - Game 7

Somehow Cleveland let Chicago claw their way back into this series, getting smoked 9-3 by the Cubs to force the deciding game.

So who will be watching? Predictions?

Down 3-1, Chicago's rotation has been lined up perfectly. Going Lester-Arrieta-Hendricks in consecutive elimination games is quite a luxury. It was also just a matter of time before Bryant and Rizzo started doing damage.

If memory serves me correctly, Hendricks outdueled Kershaw (short rest) to clinch the NLCS and it would be nuts if he could do the same to Kluber (short rest) tonight in the WS.

If it goes to the bullpens though, advantage Cleveland. I just get so nervous watching Chapman pitch. The Indians are gonna get to him eventually. Miller, on the other hand, can shut Chicago down seemingly at will.

Miller is insane. I have feeling that the way the bullpen will be managed for Cleveland is to use anyone and everyone. It'll come down to matchups in a given inning. Would not shock me to see starters used as middle relievers. There's a whole offseason to rest after this one.

I would love nothing more than to see both managers use their entire bullpens and all bench players. We are so fortunate to be watching the two best managers in baseball going head-to-head in the WS,

Agreed, and I can see the bullpens being used to their max. Unless one pitcher is on fire and he's racking up K after K. You ride that guy till his arm falls off.

That was a great game. I was a little surprised to see so many errors and mistakes in a World Series Game 7. Owen had a great call with the Indians getting to Chapman.

Not gonna lie, part of me wanted the Cubs to lose given that ridiculous safety squeeze they had Baez attempt. What on earth was Maddon thinking there? Almost as bad as Seattle in the Superbowl a few years ago. Very lucky that didn't come back to haunt them.

That was a great game. I was a little surprised to see so many errors and mistakes in a World Series Game 7. Owen had a great call with the Indians getting to Chapman.

I'm not shocked by the errors. Two teams with the longest championship droughts in baseball in a winner take all, and Cleveland allowing a 3-1 series lead to disappear. There's a lot of expectations and pressure in that game 7.

What I was more surprised by was Chicago switching pitchers so early in the game. There was no reason to hit the panic button when the game was in control

Chicago did everything they could to lose that game and they're so goddamn lucky Cleveland didn't take it before the rain came. I think Matt and Rob are right on the money with questionable calls by Maddon. Pulling Hendricks was the biggest one for me.

The errors and ineffectiveness of the bullpens come down to fatigue and nerves for me. Both team were gassed. Still, what a great series.

I had written a pulitzer-worthy article about alcs game seven and yet I see nothing

Point is that Lance McCullers threw 28 consecutive curveballs during a four INNING save only giving up one base hit

And the yankees paid McCann 5.5M$ to drive in the final two coffin nails against them

All of this happened while the Sens were shellacking the leaves though
