The two fan bases seem to bicker to no end about who's better, yet Karlsson and Subban both seem to have a lot of respect for each other, going back to when Karlsson told Subban that he hoped he won the Norris after the series.

Well the two fan bases are natural enemies of each other as it is, so it makes sense it spills over to these players. Both need to work on their defensive games in order to be really complete players.

Not so natural, imo.. it took a playoff round and without the Gryba/Eller thing (which led to that line brawl), it doesn't become the rivalry it became.

I never looked at Ottawa as our rivals.
