With thre HHOF class of 2016 out of the way now, focus shifts to 2017. The 2017 HHOF class is relatively weak with the only sure thing being Teemu Selanne in his first year of eligibility.
One of the big stories will be if Daniel Alfredsson gets the call. It's his first year eligible and he'll have the weaker class thing going for him. He has over 400 goals and 1,100 points, as well as captaining his team for 15 seasons and won a Gold medal in 2006.
His competition will be Dave Andreychuk (9th year of eligibility), Theo Fleury (9th year of eligibility), Curtis Joseph (5th year of eligibility), Paul Katrina (5th year of eligibility), Nikolai Khabibulin (1st year of eligibility), Alexander Mogilny (9th year of eligibility), Chris Osgood (4th year of eligibility), Mark Recchi (4th year of eligibility), Jeremy Roenick (6th year of eligibility), and Ray Whitney (1st year of eligibility).
So, do you think he gets in for the 2017 class? I say no he won't.
