    Gotta have this thread again.

    Who else bets on games? My cousin and I are pretty much doing it every second weekend, spending $6 each on three cards, a risky card, a safe card and a safe 2-way card all on Mise-O-Jeu. Each ticket has $4 on them, $2 each from us. We just got off facetime making this weekends bets and our risky card, while not so risky because of the way the odds are, can turn $2 in $1255 each for us.

    We bet on:
    Edmonton > Philadelphia in regulation/OT (no SO)
    Florida/Ottawa going to a shootout
    Toronto > Boston
    Tampa Bay > Detroit
    Pittsburgh/St. Louis going to a shootout

    and I forgot what we bet on our safe cards

          Re: Betting

          I would have won $100 if we got to the store two minutes earlier last weekend.

            I've got a wild one on tonight's only game. $3 on:

            Anaheim over Arizona
            Geltzlaf more points than Hanzal
            Kesler more points than Boedker
            OEL same points as Lindholm
            Perry more shots than Domi
            Arizona less than 29.5 shots
            Anaheim more PIM

            If all those happen, the payout is $239.05

                So I finally signed up for DraftKings. I made a $6 bet last night on a few games and won $18. Got another $6 in tonight. It's a much better system than the provincially run sports gambling. You can win big and keep a pretty good chance of at least winning your original investment back. Definitely would recommend.

                  I signed up for this. Is it all about drafting teams, or can you bet like you were doing earlier?

                    It's not at all like proline or mise-O-jeu. It's all one-day drafts and the point system heavily favours goals and assists. It's all offense. I was a bit confused at first, but the scoring system is always the same:

                    Hockey Scoring

                    Players will accumulate points as follows:
                    Goal = +3 PTS
                    Assist = +2 PTS
                    Shot on Goal = +0.5 PTS
                    Blocked Shot = +0.5 PTS
                    Short Handed Point Bonus (Goal/Assist) = +1 PTS
                    Shootout Goal = +0.2 PTS
                    Hat Trick Bonus = +1.5 PTS

                    Goalies only will accumulate points as follows:
                    Win = +3 PTS
                    Save = +0.2 PTS
                    Goal Against = -1 PTS
                    Shutout Bonus = +2 PTS

                    Goalie Scoring Notes:
                    Goalies WILL receive points for all stats they accrue, including goals and assists.
                    The Goalie Shutout Bonus is credited to goalies if they complete the entire game with 0 goals allowed in regulation + overtime. Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout. Goalie must complete the entire game to get credit for a shutout.

                        You just leave it. To be honest I was also super confused but it really explains itself once you understand that the scoring is always the same. You're drafting with a salary cap and it's super easy to see your numbers.

                            but it says there's leagues to join and whatnot and it doesn't give you a price to see how much you can win after you have your lineup

                              Yes it does. On a PC, just click the number in the total prizes column and you can see the payouts. On the app, press and hold on the league and then select details.

                              The leagues all just refer to different structures. They are based on entry fee and total number of participants.
