Jason Chimera signs 2-year extension

The Washington Capitals signed veteran left wing Jason Chimera on Friday to a two-year, $4 million contract extension that will run through the 2015-16 season. Chimera would have become an unrestricted free agent in July 2014.

Good deal for the Caps. Chimera could have likely approached 3M on the open market, but he's a really good fit where he is.
