  • Stamkos injured

Watching the matinée game between the Bruins & Bolts. Stamkos was taken off the ice on a stretcher and brought to the hospital for X-rays. Looks like a possible leg injury..

    Re: Stamkos injured

Hope he comes back soon, talented player and he's avoided injuries so far. Also has a good partnership with St.Louis for my fantasy team. And Tampa is a good story, not sure they can manage without Stamkos.

Damn, that sucks for the Lightning :/ Too bad we don't play them until December, lol.

They are saying broken tibia - if that's true he's out at least 4-6 weeks and probably longer.

EDIT: He's gonna need surgery, according to Aaron Ward. He could miss the Olympics!

                Re: Stamkos injured

I think the Lightning lose their playoff spot with this injury.

I'd say that but they said the same last year about Karlsson, Spezza, Anderson, etc.

                    Re: Stamkos injured

I think I agree with Ambrose; I had Tampa and Washington making the 7 and 8 spots and Philly not making the Playoffs at all. With Stamkos' injury, and if the Flyers keep improving, I can definitely see Philadelphia taking Tampa Bay's spot.

                        Re: Stamkos injured

He is lucky to have a medical team around him like that. I suffered the same injury 5 years ago and I was in a cast for 8 weeks. I have a metal plate covering the fractured area...he has a metal pin starting at the knee all the way down to his ankle. Still suprised he is already walking on it though...

Stamkos got the green light, he will be in the lineup for tomorrow's game.

I agree..and I hope they don't trade St-Louis. But I can see why they would do it now, his worth is sky high...

Edit: Wasn't aware he had requested the trade, was out of the loop on that one... humm
