Shootout loss to Tampa which we had no business going to the SO with. The one point was ALL Carey. 44 saves on 45 shots...it was easily one of the greatest goaltender performances I can remember watching.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he's a Hart contender. I just think giving goalies the Hart is a really bad idea; considering goaltending is the most important and valuable position in the game, they might as well give it to a goalie every single year, which would be silly. In rare, exceptional cases, it is reasonable to give it to a goalie, Hasek and Al Rollins were perfect axamples. Theodore was not, and great as he was that year had absolutely no business being named the league's MVP.
That said, yeah, Price is the pretty clear favorite for Vezina and Team Canada starter right now. Keeping in mind it is still less than a third of the way through the season.
Maybe if he keeps up these kinds of numbers and gets the Canadiens into the playoffs, he might be worth considering for the Hart.Comment

Wow...how he's playing I don't know how he doesn't start for Canada in Sochi. Stole this game vs. Boston and is continuing his amazing play. Something special right now. Love it. 8-0-1 in the last 9 as well with this win and 1st in the division.Comment

Yup, pretty clearly has to be the favorite right now to start for Canada. Of course they still might decide to give it to Lu based on gold medal experience.Comment
