*Imagine had he not left for a few years, where his numbers would be....

    He's a machine.

I have to wonder when he's going to retire. He's in great shape so I see no reason he'd have to anytime soon, but I wonder when he'll plan to.

I heard he said he'd like to play till he's 50. He doesn't care if its in the NHL cause he's sure to find a place that will want his services if he remains at the level he is.

      Edit:
He signs contracts one year at a time now to reassess at the end of each season, but he's never shied away from the fact he would like to play until he's 50 years old. He wants you to know, he's not kidding.

There's no joking about his dedication to fitness and staying in game-shape. He used to have a key to the Philadelphia Flyers' practice facility when he played for the organization. In this great Oral History of Jaromir Jagr by Sportsnet's Kristina Rutherford, New York Rangers backup goaltender Kevin Weekes spoke about Jagr's dedication to practice after practice when they were teammates from 2005 until 2007.

"We’d finish, I’d work out, he’d work out, but what I didn’t know is then at night he was coming back to the rink. He’d drive back out to the practice rink [which was about 45 minutes away] and practise by himself. And none of us knew this. We had no idea."

Jagr is a legend and we are lucky to have seen him play. He may very well be second only to Gretzky.

I heard a story about him working out in a hotel recently. It was midnight and he had been in there a while working out, and an employee had to go let him know that he had to leave because the gym was closing

It sure sounds like he's a great guy to have around in the locker room. :-)

All Nick Bjugstad needed to break his scoring drought was a some encouragement from Jaromir Jagr and a little monkey named Annabelle.

To be able to keep playing at his age is an achievement. The fact that he remains productive is even more special. He's got some time left in the NHL yet.

Speaking of him being a machine, look at this.

Jaromir Jagr has thrown out his latest Facebook challenge. But before accepting, you might want to watch the video. The Florida Panthers' forward posted a video of himself doing squats. With one leg. On the ice. While nothing seems to be too difficult for the 45-year-old Jagr, even he called this challenge
