The Anaheim Ducks acquired defenseman Jesse Blacker and a pair of picks in the 2014 NHL Draft from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday in exchange for forwards Peter Holland and Brad Staubitz.
The draft choices are in the third and seventh round, with the third-rounder becoming a second-round pick should Holland play 25 games with the Maple Leafs this season.
Holland is expected to report directly to the Maple Leafs and should help shore up a Toronto roster that has been hit by injuries to two of its top centers, Tyler Bozak and Dave Bolland. Bozak has been out since Oct. 25 with a lower-body injury and Bolland is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery to repair a lacerated tendon on his left ankle. Staubitz will report to the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.
