Ottawa lost the game 3-2 in overtime. They trailed 2-0 to start the third.
- Wingels didn't really impress me. He scored a goal, which was great, but he made a lot of mistakes and was more noticeable in a bad way than a good way to me. Not really worried about this going forward, but do hope he can be a heart and soul energy guy for the team.
- Impressive third period to get a point. Calgary was definitely playing a motivated game, and were giving the Sens fits with how tight of a defensive game they were playing. Glad the Sens were able to squeeze through and pick up a point.
- Although Calgary has been struggling of late, this officially marks the end of the Senators "two months from hell". They played a lot of tough teams and have a much easier schedule coming up (at least opponent wise). However, the Sens will need to improve their play against the middle-of-the-pack teams if they want to secure a playoff spot.
- Honestly, I'm not looking down. It's easy to get worried about the teams behind us. The Sens just need to do their part - finish with the necessary ~95 points and they'll make the playoffs. But I'd like to see them take a shot at the Habs for first in the Atlantic. Right now they are seven points back with three games in hand.
