I think he's factored into some Calgary games this year. Still can't really believe we got a second rounder for Lazar.Comment

We definitely got good value for Lazar. I realize he's young, has potential, blah blah blah. He's a guy that has 12 career goals in 176 games and one point this season in over 30 games. He's an absolute black hole offensive wise and possession wise. There's a pretty good chance this 2nd round pick won't even become an NHL player, but there's also a chance Lazar isn't in the league in three years.
I said in another thread ... Lazar needs to find an identity. He had mono to start the season, missed training camp and started the season in the AHL. That could throw off a lot of players. He needs to embrace the role as a bottom six spark plug and become a valuable option there.Comment

"This morning,' Lazar said, "was a whirlwind. Sitting in a brief video session with the team, picking up how the system works, even the practice - I did a lot of watching today, getting the structure down.
"In Ottawa, we do play a pretty unique style. I'm looking forward to playing a more traditional style again.
"I'm a pretty hard-nosed guy. I like being all over the puck. There were times in Ottawa where you kind of had to step back and be a little more defensive. I really wanted to go and that hesitation didn't get me anywhere."
