  • Game 78 - Senators @ Red Wings

    Obviously a HUGE game tonight.

If the Sens can get 2 points, only the Islanders and Tampa would remain as threats lower in the standings with the ability to knock Ottawa out of the playoffs, as Carolina can only finish with a maximum 92 points and Ottawa would have 93.

Possibly more importantly, it would also bump them back into the Atlantic finishers and out of a wild card spot (at least for now) which, as of tonight, would save them a date with Washington and set them up VS either Toronto or Boston, pending the outcome of Toronto's game (go Sabres).

You just know that Red Wings fans would love to see their team spoil Tampa's chances.. that can start with allowing 2 points for Ottawa tonight!

No Ceci, Methot or Smith for the remaining week. Sens "remain hopeful" that Karlsson will play sometime in the week.

My guess is that they will hold him out tonight, but if we stink again he will miraculously show up for Tuesday.

I'm remaining hopeful that the Sens can finish second in the Atlantic. If we have home ice, we can beat either Boston or Toronto.

The defense does worry me, though. You have Phaneuf and a lot of inexperience.

White's moved up to the second line with Stone and Pageau. He's had a strong second period

Agreed. He looks like he may be trying a bit too hard to be noticed, but who can blame him? I like the energy at any rate.

I'm liking Borowiecki's play so far. He's a better skater than many give him credit for.

Ferraro was saying he's always like this, and actually called him a 'rat'.
