  • Game 4: Senators @ Rangers | 2017 Playoffs

    - 7:30pm start

    - After tonight, Ottawa will either be up 3-1, where they have never lost a series when leading 3-1, or tied 2-2.

    - Pyatt and Wideman will return to the lineup. Smith is doubtful, and Ryan is likely.

Do we have any indication if Harpur or Claesson is the odd man out? Please god keep Claesson in there.

Ryan, Wideman and Pyatt all in, Smith is a game-time decision. I haven't seen anything yet on who on the blueline won't make the cut.

I think Smith will be in, Pyatt in for Dzingel.

Agree, that's the wrong call IMO.

They're BOTH the wrong call. Should be Harpur and Wingels out.

I should clarify that I respect a lot of what Boucher does. I dunno how to keep the other team's shots to the outside or how to clog the neutral zone or how to protect a lead and Boucher does all that shit really well. I can only criticize the obvious things like lineup decisions. It's easy to scrutinize at the keyboard and difficult to succeed behind the bench.

Claesson for Harpur is an obvious one though . I wish I understood what the hell the logic was. Steady Freddie does everything Boucher likes and ditto for Dzingel.

And it's not that I haven't like Wingels' play, it's just that Dzingel has been better.

                      I agree.

The thing with Boucher is kinda like Andy with is play outside the crease. 29 times out of 30 times, he gets it right every time. We always notice the one mistake he makes when we wanders.

But it's the goddman playoffs now so we gotta shorten that leash.

In his defense, there could be other things too. Cleasson might be nursing an injury that hasn't been announced, for example.

With Pyatt vs. Dzingel vs. Wingels, I think you're seeing Boucher favour the players who are (or appear to be) working harder. Also, Wingels was probably our best skater in Game 3. I can't say I've noticed Dzingel since he scored that flip-goal in Game 1.

At this point, I'm just glad we don't have to resort to Neil...credit for that goes to Dorion I guess.

I'm pro-Wingels to the extent that he's right-handed and Ottawa doesn't have many of those (Erik Karlsson counts as 12 right-handed people). Neil is a righty though I guess hahaha
