  • 2017 Eastern Conference Finals - Game 6

Obviously a crucial game for the Sens to win.

Also, it's going to be a great evening either way as it's turned out to be quite a forum meet-up. Myself, matchesmalone, Jasmine, thedaigle1, and Kephryn will be attending the game together while Matt the Aussie and his wife are going as well - just a few rows down from us in the same section no less!

    GO SENS GO!

Just so you know, we were all mourning your absence man.

Andy was next level Andy like we needed him to be, 40+ saves. Only third star? Stiffed if you ask me. Bobby Ryan, dude I don't even recognize him anymore! He was on fire. Really sparked the team. And Hoffman's shot...just, wow.

Game 7, for ALL the marbles. Thursday. Don't you dare miss it.

          Yessssss!

Brandon you were definitely missed. Next time for sure. What an amazing night though. Huge thanks to Kevin/matchesmalone for buying all the tickets in advance, it was awesome to meet you man and I hope the first time of many more! Always great to see Owen/thedaigle1, Yvon/Kephryn, and Jasmine, and just amazing that Matt the Aussie was there in the same section. It was also awesome to meet you and your wife Matt and again I hope it's the first of many more.

To top it all off - Ottawa won! At the VERY least, they have made it this far - taking the defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins to a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals. You get the feeling this ride isn't over yet.

Thanks, guys. I feel like it was a missed opportunity for sure. Obviously I could meet some of you all whenever (hopefully next round!), but with Matt and Kevin here, it would have been the perfect time. I listened to the game on the radio. I was actually driving pretty close to the CTC when I posted, but unfortunately I still had stuff to do so I couldn't even meet up after the game or anything.

I watched the full game (thank God for free NHL Gamecentre through Rogers ... especially this year where they don't restriction block any of the playoff games) once I got home. Gutsy effort by the Sens. I feel like the only people that thought the Sens stood a chance in this game was Sens fans. The team shows time and time again that they are a resilient bunch, And now you're in a one-game playoff to go to the Finals. If the right guy gets hot or Andy steals a game, the Sens host the SCF.

By the way, that crowd sounded loud. It's hard to compare from games on TV to ones you were at, but it definitely sounded louder than Game 3, which a few of the players called the loudest they've ever heard the building.

For the game itself, I was curious heading into it. I felt like it would't be a blowout, and I was curious to see how the Sens handled their first elimination game of the playoffs. The Penguins are a great team, and probably outplayed the Sens last night, but the Sens have found a way all year to simply get the job done. They found ways to win without Anderson. They found ways to win down the stretch with the D injured. In the playoffs, they found ways to beat hot goalies, and win games when Anderson looked off. I thought it was great they found a way to win with their backs to the wall.

Wow! I`ve been to a few playoffs games but I gotta say, last night`s tops them all. That was the best. I left my voice in section 324!

Did you guys know there was a team meeting after Sunday`s debacle? Karlsson was the 1st to speak apparently....

The guys in front of us made the news loll

Jerseys and logos are two of the most sacred things to hockey teams, players and fans, so when we see this jersey alteration from a couple Montreal Canadiens fans, we’re curious to see how people feel.

Hey matchesmalone is there any way you can look into whether or not you can get the actual ticket stubs sent to you for that game? If the Sens go all the way, it would be a really cool souvenir to have.

Oh yeah, that would be pretty cool. I'll look into it.

Damn what a game. The Sens came out strong in the first few minutes and the building was loud, but Pittsburgh absolutely took over. The crowd was getting tentative, the players looked frustrated, nothing seemed to go right. It looked like all doom and gloom until that first Sens goal and then suddenly the whole thing turned around. The building was nuts from there on out an the team looked like a team that could run with the defending Cup champions. Hell of a game by Ryan (despite some questionable plays in the first half), Pageau and Anderson. Claesson was a really pleasant surprise for me, looked a lot better in real time than I'd ever noticed him being before. Didn't see or notice much of Colin White.

We must have been gone to meet Matt the Aussie during intermission at that point, otherwise we'd be in the shot!

Can confirm, that game was the loudest crowd I have ever been in, with very few lulls.
