The LA Kings re-sign Tyler Toffoli to a three-year contract with $4.6 million AAV.

This would have seemed like an incredibly team-friendly deal at the end of the 2015-2016 season, but might not seem like it right now. Concerning Toffoli's drop in production this past season after a pretty stellar 2015-2016 campaign, his agent Pat Brisson was quoted as saying "He missed 21 games, and I would say, honestly, I think he played probably another 20 on one leg". Then again, that was his agent talking while the contract was still up for negotiation..
