Expansion draft backfire?

I used to respect McPhee a lot as a GM, but I was really shocked at many of his expansion draft selections. He's obviously got a hell of a lot more experience than I do, as I've got none, but I think the final team I came up with was not only more competitive but also better stocked for the future than what he had then or now.

I hope they get stuck with all of those defensemen. Actually I hope they sign three more in free agency using the same flawed logic and get stuck with all of them.
