Condon is getting the start in goal tomorrow, which is the right move, IMO. Anderson needs a little bit of time off to regroup himself. I hope the Sens didn't make a mistake signing him to an extension this early.

I'm confused.. How come Hammond is still in Belleville? Colorado has an AHL team (The San Antonio Rampage), why isn't he with them if they don't want/need him in Colorado?

I guess they would rather give their AHL job to a developing prospect or a goalie they feel is better than Hammond, so the Sens requested to keep him as the starter for Belleville.

What's better for Melnyk than having players in his system who he doesn't have to pay? :(

Yeah because the Sens don't need to develop better goalies....

I'm not familiar with the Belleville situation in goal, so I decided to look into it.

Hogberg is listed on the roster but doesn't have any playing time, so I'm not sure what's going on with him.

The only other notable goaltending prospects on the roster is Chris Driedger. He played 34 games last year and only put up a .900SV%. Not terrible for a young goalie in the AHL, but I guess the team wants him to have more professional experience before throwing him to the wolves.

Hogberg has been playing in the ECHL and is finally putting up good numbers (although it's the ECHL so yeah). Drieger was injured to start the season if I'm not mistaken. Danny Taylor was signed out of the KHL where he put up really some interesting numbers. Kind of a lottery ticket signing though. Ottawa's two other goalie prospects are still in the WHL/NCAA respectively.

While I'm busy talking to myself on the forum today. Here are two unsubstantiated rumours I would like to discuss with myself:

-Eugene Melnyk=Divorce=Liquidation of assets=Sell Ottawa Senators hockey thing

-Kyle Turris=Not likes Boucher=Players don't want to re-sign if Guy stays as coach

My prediction is Melnyk sells the team by the end of 2018. Not basing this off any sort of ‘inside info’ everyone seems to have, just my prediction/educated guess.

They suck. Good thing they protected that 1st round pick.

Its harder and harder to like this team/organisation. They draft awesome players and than they destroy them. Every other team is playing their young lads, leaving them room to make mistakes and learn from them. What they bring to their team far more out shines the mistakes they make.

I don't like the way Boucher uses his players. I don't get the hard on for Ceci. Why is Oduya still playing while Claesson is a scratch?

TB is a contender and they figured Dumont wasn't good enough to be on their roster, Boucher pairs him with Hoffman..hum....
