Anyone catch last nights Grey Cup? For the second year in a row, the heavily-favourited Stampeders lost to an East team without a winning record. Unlike last year, though, Calgary had control of the game and gave it away. Late in the 4th quarter, they fumbled the ball inside the 5-yard line on what would have make it a two-score game. Then, when in field goal position in the final 30 seconds of the game, Mitchell throws an interception when he took an end zone shot.

Kinda funny how Ottawa wins in Toronto and then Toronto wins in Ottawa.
Calgary is the better team and was the better team. They controlled the entire game, and it took Calgary fumbling the ball late and also throwing a bonehead interception to lose the game. Nothing against Toronto, but the 2017 Grey Cup will not be remembered as Toronto winning the game. In 2016, though, Ottawa put on a show. Burris, on his last game (and on one leg) puts up 400+ yards, 3 TDs and runs two TDs in. Ottawa 100% controlled the first half of the game, and even parts of the second half weren't too bad.
As for the Redblacks going forward, the GM will have some interesting decisions to make. Harris at QB is a huge question mark. He looked good at times both this season and last, but is he really a guy you can win with? I don't know about that. The only problem is, there's no good QBs on the market this year. Harris made a huge salary last season and probably won't accept a pay cut. There's a wildcard option in Johnny Football.

I’d consider it, though, as Drew Tate seems like a qualifiable QB.

Well, some interesting moves this offseason.
On REDBLACKS front, they re-signed Harris and dropped Tate. They were able to re-sign Spencer, who is huge, and McMillan. The only big name they risk losing tomorrow is Tank Reed.
The Eskimos let Bouwman go, and the Stampeders let McDaniel go. Willis is in BC and Hughes is on Saskatchewan now. Bouwman signed in Winnipeg.
Probably the most head-scratching sequence of this years FA was the Willis situation. He gets traded to Ottawa for Jake Ceresna - a very good young player. Willis is still a beast, though, and would help Ottawa's pass rush. However, then the REDBLACKS flip Willis to BC for a pick and a negotiation list player, pretty much losing Ceresna for nothing.
