  • The Sens are steamin garbage and it ain't even close.

Where is the Sens hate yo? This team has disappointed me to much now that I can't even watch a full game anymore. This season and a lot of last season was pretty boring hockey despite making the the ECF. Ryan has to go. Brassard has to go. Burrows has to go. Dumont get the fuck out. Oduya thank you for your services, get the fuck out of dodge. Anderson, fermenting rectumitis.

Dorion learned from the best how to destroy a team.

Oduya and Ryan have been terrible, Smith has been noticeably bad, and Dzingel has been streaky af, never know what you're gonna get with him.

I wouldn't call them good, but the only Sens who haven't been terrible are Brassard, Hoffman, Karlsson, Phaneuf, and Stone.

Andy is not the problem. By last year's standards he is worse, yes, but he's not the one I'm getting upset at.

Think about this...between Ryan and Phaneuf we have $14.5 million in cap space tied up for years to come. Ryan is completely useless. Phaneuf plays OK but not worth it. If we are forced to lose Stone or Karlsson this team goes back to the wilderness for 5-10 years.

This team's defence is so bad that BORO would be an improvement. THINK ABOUT THAT.

This is a huge mess. I believe it’s a really bad slump
and not anything deep, but this definitely cost the Sens their season.

With that being said, I don’t see bright days for the organization until Melnyk is out of there (potentially Dorion, too)

All I'm asking for is new ownership, new management, new coaches, new uniforms, and a new arena--just without relocating the team. IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK.

Shut out in three of their last four. Lost eleven of their last twelve.

I'd definitely be for trading one or all of Ceci, Pageau, Ryan, and/or Smith. I think packaging one of the other three with Ryan might be the only way to get him off the books. I also wonder if Philadelphia might be interested in something around Ryan for Simmonds.

I would love Phaneuf's contract to be gone also. I don't think he's that bad of a player, but if we are going full tank, we should clear as much salary (cap) as possible.

People seem to be suggesting trading Hoffman instead...huge mistake IMO. Perhaps just try playing him regularly with top 6 linemates, and not Pyatt or Dumont?

I think Hoffman (along with several others) would love to get the fuck outta dodge right now (either because of deployment, getting scratched, etc). From an Ottawa perspective, why would you trade your most naturally gifted shooter when your team is starved for goals? BECAUSE THIS IS OTTAWA BABY.

Also, even if you don't buy into fancy stats and believe that hockey is too chaotic and unpredictable to forecast, you gotta recognize to some extent how bad Ottawa has been statistically when they're projected to lose a game against Buffalo. Even if Buffalo has home ice, 9/10 teams are strong enough to overcome that disadvantage. Only perennial lottery teams like the Yotes, Oil, and Cats are penciled in to lose road games against the Sabers.

Seriously. Hoffman lacks Heatley's slap-shot but otherwise he is the most gifted goal scorer we've had since. The fact that he scores DESPITE his deployment is testament to that.

I am fully expecting a loss against Buffalo simply because Robin Lehner is confirmed to be in the other net, and he's got some kind of god-mode cheat enabled whenever the Sens visit. Nevermind that the Senators weren't able to generate any goals in 3 of 4 previous games.

Brassard hasn't scored a goal in 20 games.
