  • Canadian Olympic team

I copy paste from CBC.ca and nothing is showing...so I'll try again when I get home. In the meantime, you know where to look to see the roster.

Some interesting Sens alumni on the list such as Chris Kelly, Rob Klinkhammer and Eric O'Dell. As much as people are complaining that the roster sucks, it's going to be the highlight of every one of these guys' career. You don't have a chance to represent your country in the Olympics often.

I also don't have a ton of interest in Olympic Hockey after 2014. I found it boring, but I also got to see Canada play perhaps the perfect tournament possible with only three goals against. You had the Golden Goal in 2010 and a dominant, yet boring run to Gold in 2014.

Weird. Happened to me too, and from several different sources. I did some pretty extensive tests and it's only one particular player's last name that "breaks" the function - Linden Vey. Once I rewrote "Vey", I was able to post it fine:

      GOALIES
      • Justin Peters, Blyth, Ont. (Europe)
      • Kevin Poulin, Montreal (Europe)
      • Ben Scrivens, Spruce Grove, Alta. (KHL)

      DEFENCEMEN
      • Stefan Elliott, Vancouver (Europe)
      • Chay Genoway, Morden, Man. (KHL)
      • Cody Goloubef, Oakville, Ont. (AHL)
      • Marc-André Gragnani, L'Ile-Bizard, Que. (KHL)
      • Chris Lee, MacTier, Ont. (KHL)
      • Maxim Noreau, Montreal (Europe)
      • Mat Robinson, Calgary (KHL)
      • Karl Stollery, Camrose, Alta. (KHL)

      FORWARDS
      • René Bourque, Lac La Biche, Alta. (Europe)
      • Gilbert Brulé, Edmonton (KHL)
      • Andrew Ebbett, Vernon, B.C. (Europe)
      • Quinton Howden, Oakbank, Man. (KHL)
      • Chris Kelly, Toronto (AHL)
      • Rob Klinkhammer, Lethbridge, Alta. (KHL)
      • Brandon Kozun, Calgary (KHL)
      • Maxim Lapierre, Brossard, Que. (Europe)
      • Eric O'Dell, Ottawa (KHL)
      • Mason Raymond, Cochrane, Alta. (Europe)
      • Derek Roy, Rockland, Ont. (Europe)
      • Christian Thomas, Toronto (AHL)
      • Linden Vey, Wakaw, Sask. (KHL)
      • Wojtek Wolski, Toronto (KHL)

The only other players I really could have seen on the team are Marc-Andre Gragnani, Matt Fratin, and Simon Despres.

I’m a little surprised they didn’t go with a younger roster (some WJC players). I guess these guys didn’t wanna miss any more time from their teams anyways, but I’d imagine there’s quite a few better than some players on this roster. Especially on big ice.
