I’m not convinced that this is the right move for Carolina. He’s a good guy and by all accounts has the room, but the organization seems to be in a state similar to Ottawa’s and I’m just not at all surprised to see them promote from within instead seek outside help.

I too have noticed the similarities. Good for them they got another owner, but so far he has been calling all our favourite plays from the Melnyk book.
