The Montreal Canadiens have acquired goalie Steve Mason, winger Joel Armia, a 2019 seventh-round draft pick and a 2020 fourth-round draft pick from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for defenceman Simon Bourque. The Habs then placed Mason on waivers for a purpose of a buyout after acquiring him.
Wow, great trade for Montreal. Makes a lot of sense for Winnipeg too because they needed to move money out to retain Stastny. I bet he signs later today.
