Can't really say I have much of an opinion about this. Didn't realize the Hawks were doing so poorly.
But, while Kane still seems to be doing what he do, with Toews, Keith and Seabrook all well past their primes now, and Kane and Toews contracts fucking up the team's cap situation for the foreseeable future, I think this is pretty much the punctuation solidifying the end of a dynasty. Ok, maybe missing the playoffs last year had a similar effect, but Coach Q has been there from the start, and I think short of moving one of the big 3, this is about as symbolic of a changing of the guard as you can get.
