The Jets should be a much better team than they are. Maurice could be the answer here, in my opinion. Then again, if they trade Ladd and Buff...

Not a huge fan of Paul Maurice, personally. The guy has been coach of what...three teams? And each time was not a long-term solution.

I agree with Matt that Noel wasn't the problem, but he was't a great coach, either. I don't think Winnipeg has a great roster, especially not enough to compete in the dreaded Western Conference. I think this is a pretty lateral move. They either need to find a coach who works really well with the team (Tippett in Phoenix) or improve their roster by adding a couple big pieces.

I think that if they can get a good return on Evander Kane, that their fortunes will change for the better. But if they go the route of trading Byfuglien and Ladd instead, they'll suffer for it.
