With the draft this past weekend, I've been looking at past drafts too, and two stand out as particularly disappointing for the Bruins. Of course, they had the Cup win in 2011 and then Finals appearances in 2013 and 2019, so it's mostly water under the bridge.
But in 2007 they drafted Zach Hamill 8th overall and then Logan Couture went 9th. Then they had those three consecutive first rounders in 2015 and went with Jakub Zboril and Zachary Senyshyn for two of them - 13th and 15th overall. Matthew Barzal and Thomas Chabot went 16th and 18th.
They almost certainly still win the 2011 Cup picking Couture in 2007, but they might not have had those three firsts in 2015. Still, can you imagine their depth chart with Barzal, Chabot, and Couture in place of Hamill, Senyshyn, and Zboril?!
I don't want to say this and end up regretting it...
I'd see Boston and Toronto meeting up in the first round and Toronto upsets Boston to only have Toronto lose in the second round.
I hate saying this, they were already contenders and they are looking like strong favourites.
What about Charlie Coyle in Boston. I noticed he looked like he was really clicking in the playoffs last year. Maybe he's found the right fit for his career.

He had the one really good year in Minnesota, but then seemed to fizzle out. He did indeed have a great playoffs last year, and is on-pace for probably his second best season so far this year.
