I think the Predators take this trade. Del Zotto > Klein. Perhaps Klein will be more valuable in New York being able to play the other side, but the Predators got the better player.

I think this works both ways. Klein gives the Rangers a right hand shot who is defensively responsible and signed to a very reasonable contract.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I'm coming to think that this wasn't the Rangers giving up on Del Zotto; this is a hockey deal and Klein is a solid all-around player, a responsible defenseman with decent offensive upside.
