Christ that Foudy has wheels. And plays top PK. Columbus has a keeper there.

Man what a game! What a tournament! I put my name in for tickets for next year in Edmonton and Red Deer.

Would be amazing to go to again. Marco Rossi will be there with Austria, if he's not in the NHL. USA is gonna be absolutely stacked, provided they don't lose too many of those 2019 draftees to the NHL, and they need to bury the hatchet with Antonio Stranges.

Besides them, Sweden and Canada will have some high end older players. Russia didn't have a great 2019 draft class, so they'll look to late birthday 2020s Groshev, Amirov and Nikishin as leaders, plus Mukhamadullin and Askarov.

Finland and Czechs might have down years. The Finns will still be at least middle of the pack (challenge the top teams and dominate the relegation teams), and it would be a game changer if they can get Lundell back - turning 19 with a couple years pro experience, that's the kind of player who would be a favorite for tournament MVP.

It might be a struggle for the Czechs. Doubt they'll have much chance against the top teams, but they should still be able to beat the Swiss and Slovaks. As good as a 19 year old Rossi will be, I don't think him and Senna Peeters would be enough to do any real damage, even against Slovakia or Switzerland.

Germany will be an interesting case. Peterka, Reichel and Stützle will be 18, and if they get a 19 year old Moritz Seider that's a team that could do some real damage. They'll also have Jan Niejenhuis and Nino Kinder return-eligible at forward, while on defense Maximilian Glötzl and Maksymilian Szuber will be 18, and Simon Gnyp will be 19.

The goalie Ancicka made a couple appearances this year and didn't fair so well, but at 19 next year he's the best bet to start for the Deutsch. Arno Tiefensee will be 18 and should certainly be there in some capacity, and may challenge for the starting job.

I started looking over ice time from the World Juniors, particularly for the 2020s. Byfield didn't play a single shift in the gold medal game. Yikes. Mercer only played a minute something. Neither played much over 10 minutes in any given game. Drysdale played over six minutes in the final, and he played as much as 20 minutes in the semi against the Fins. Lafreniere played something like 25 mins in the final. Holy shit.

Raymond and Holtz played on a line together and had almost identical ice time every game, somewhere in the 10-14 minute range.

Jan Mysak was around around 12-16 minutes for the Czechs.

Stützle was mostly in the 15-20 range. Reichel and Peterka were both around 10-15, but Peterka generally played a little more than Reichel.

And Sens related: Pinto was consistently the most or top three most used forwards for USA - on average I'd estimate he was first. JBD was pretty consistently the second most used defenseman for Canada behind Bowen Byram. Lassi Thomson led Finnish defensemen in the quarters against USA but on average he was second or third, usually behind Heinola. He only average about 15-18 mins, but the Fins were rolling seven D, so everyone's ice time was a bit low.
