We have $14M we can play with in cap, so I'd go for Stastny, Reilly, and Holl.

    Vrana - Barkov - DeBrincat
    Gagner- Stastny - Bjugstad
    Vesey - Larkin - Thompson
    XXX - Lazar - Chmelevski

    Holl - Edmundson
    Severson - Reilly
    Fabbro - Walker
    Benn - Savard
    Kukan - Mitchell

    Smith
    Blackwood

Is there a list somewhere of all the players and their final league system points?

        Potential Trade Targets

I think that the following roster players may be underrated relative to their value in this league's point system:

        Forwards
        Jake Guentzel
        Pavel Buchnevich
        Tyler Toffoli
        Chris Kreider
        Martin Necas
        Kevin Fiala
        Bryan Rust
        Carter Verhaeghe

        Defensemen
        Brenden Dillon
        MacKenzie Weegar

        Goaltenders
        Jacob Markstrom
        Juuse Saros

Necas just came up the other day. Guy put Rakell on the trade block so I inquired. He's 28 with one year on his deal a little under 5 million. Guy said he would be interested in adding for DeBrincat or Vrana. I thought it might be worth considering doubling up on top six forwards so I said we might have something brewing if he could do Necas or Robert Thomas plus Rakell. He said both are non-starters.

When can/should we sign Foerster and Järventie?

I also think that we should consider keeping Bilyalov, Oksentyuk, and Perderson in the system. I think the ship has sailed on Rauhauser though.

Can anytime. I'm not really sure when would be best. What are the pros and cons? Can always do an ELC slide. Haha I've never paid much attention to how that stuff works.

I also made an offer on Ethan Haider. 3 year 700k. Would be the same as giving an ELC to a goalie we drafted two years post-draft. We just need some goalies in the system, preferably a little further along.

Guentzel's name came up. Can we make a push?

I inquired. He said he's looking for "a good young forward, a 1st, and a good prospect."

He's a bit older than I'd have liked to make our first big trade acquisition, but still basically fits our timeline.

Signed for 6 more years at 7 million.

Really don't wanna trade our 2022 first. Considering both how stacked a class it is, and if I'm doing my highlight videos I'm gonna know the prospects better than anybody.

Are we willing to pay a late round pick or equivalent prospect to dump Savard or Bjugstad's contract?

I feel like maybe we can do something more creative with Bjugstad. Not sure what, but teams like Tampa always figure something out. Take on a reclamation project with a bit longer term we think could actually be a decent player? Something along those lines.

Counter with Nick Bjugstad, 2022 2nd, and Yevgeni Oksentyuk or Ville Koivunen.

And mention something about "and we won't ask for ANY retention on Guentzel..." to put the fear of competing offers asking for retention in him 😉

LOL. Ok dude, point taken. I didn't say I absolutely wouldn't give up a 2022 1st. Just we better be goddamn sure it is the right move at the right time. Maybe something like Thompson, Chmelevski/Durzi and 2023 first?

I would like to look into offer sheets on Balcers and Ilya Samsonov.
