Re: Price on IR - Day to day

Damn, still out eh? Did they know of his injury before sending him to the Olympics? If so, that's a bad thing because it could of cost Canada the Gold Medal. If not, if Price was keeping it to himself, the Montreal front office must be at least slightly pissed that he would potentially sacrifice their run to the Playoffs to play in the Olympics....

I really don't know what to read in all of this. One way or another, someone risked a lot in making their final decision.

Agreed. Thankfully we won Gold, and Montreal has earned 5 of 6 possible points in their last three games without him...

He got injured during the Olympics...or made it worse.

It's just a move to clear a roster spot for now though.

Yeah, they say he tweaked it in Sochi. But that leads to the question of who knew about the injury beforehand? Was it responsible to go to Sochi, when it could have cost Canada a medal or harmed Montreal's playoff chances? Obviously everything seems ok now - Canada won and Budaj is playing well - but it could have been a total disaster.

Budaj playing so well shows that, perhaps, the defense isn't as bad as advertised in Montreal. They're not amazing but they're also nowhere near leaving Price out to dry every night like I've heard from multiple Habs fans.

Budaj is a good goaltender, lol, what the fuck kind of post is that?

Budaj's not bad. The defense is also more solid than Habs fans would like to admit. Price doesn't have to bail the team out and keep them in games every night.

Seems like a perfectly normal post to me. He's defending your team's defense and backup goalie...

Well then Budaj's a good backup goalie.

                            As I said.

He's a good backup goaltender. If Price didn't play an entire season and he were the starter, it'd likely be a trainwreck.
