MacArthur out for Saturday's game

Ottawa Senators forward Clarke MacArthur will sit out their game Saturday against the Winnipeg Jets with a hand injury and is doubtful for Monday against the Nashville Predators, coach Paul MacLean said after practice Friday.

"It might be longer, who knows?" MacLean said. "We just want to make sure we had our people look at it and make sure what it would be."

That's terrible news :( Sens have gotten pretty lucky so far this year as far as injuries go, but this is bad timing :(

Kassian draws in and that could be useful against the habs or rangers. But, yes, big picture Ottawa needs offence above all else. Fingers crossed that Andy can make 46 saves/night cos we'll need it (Lehner should really ride the pine from here on).

Sweet, thanks. I had thought I read about him having a pretty good night just about a week ago but I wasn't sure. Good to know he's back to playing and playing well.

Kassian should never have been on the team. I have no idea what management is thinking, not why our grinders are getting so much ice time. This has been a bad year for MacLean, and it's hard to understand that he's coming of a Jack Adams win.

I agree that Kassian is occupying what could be the spot of a contributor on the roster. And on that note, can Mac please forego even the slightest notion of breaking up the Turris line while all three are healthy? Maybe now that Spezza has Hemsky, the other combos will be safe. Juggling was fine in December but they gotta ride that second line for every point possible from here on.

Agreed. MacArthur-Turris-Ryan should stay together permanently.
