Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop will miss the remainder of the regular season but could be available "at some point" during the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, coach Jon Cooper said Wednesday.
Tampa Bay Times beat writer Damian Cristodero reported that an MRI on Bishop's left wrist apparently did not show any structural damage.
Bishop left Tampa Bay's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday at 5:43 of the first period with an upper-body injury.
Bishop dove to make a glove save and hit the ice hard, landing awkwardly on his wrist. He was helped off the ice and appeared to be in discomfort. Bishop made three saves before he was replaced by Anders Lindback, who stopped all 25 shots he faced in a 3-0 victory.
