    Not quite HHoF material I'm afraid, but he was a heart-and-soul player, and will always be loved in Edmonton I'm sure.

      Good riddance to bad rubbish. I consider myself an Oiler fan, and I've always hated him. Completely over-rated.

        lol, all I can comment on is what he did on the Island...that was the last year they made the playoffs if I'm not mistaken.

          Why would you hate him? I understand you may think he's overrated...he made a living scoring many garbage goals and the past ~5 years he's been a pretty poor player. But in his prime, his playing style was very fun to watch and was quite effective. The guy would take beatings in front of the net just for the chance to re-direct a puck. He did it like no other...four 30+ goal seasons and ten 20+ goal seasons.

            I dunno exactly. Can't really remember where it started, I just have for as long as I can remember. Never liked him in interviews, over-rated, over-paid, terrible skater, which made him a huge liability defensively.

              I don't disagree with anything you said and can see why you hate him now. I just found it odd someone would hate such a heart-and-soul guy for their team :lol:
