Good hockey trade. I like Pittsburgh more without Neal, but I think it's a good deal for the Preds too.

As a fan of Patric Hornqvist, I think this is a pretty lopsided trade. After everything taken into consideration...linemates, salary, contracts, production, play, I think Neal is a much better player than Hornqvist.

I disagree. Hornqvist will have a career year and score almost as many points as Neal. You can't forget Spaling either, who could likely hit 40+ points next year as a defenseman.

Well, Neal has been a point per game player for the Penguins the last three years. As I said, I like Hornqvist, but I don't think his skill set can get him to a point per game rate. I find often times people overrate how well a line mate will increase a players point totals...Keith Jones once said Dany Heatley would score 60 goals playing with Joe Thornton (he scored 39).

Damn my fantasy team may require a significant rehaul.

I don't know if it was mis-typed, or if you're confusing Spaling with another player, but he's a centre not a defenseman. I didn't catch this.

Wow, my bad, I have no idea why I thought he was a defenseman. Anyways, I still like this trade from both teams' perspectives.
