As a fan of Patric Hornqvist, I think this is a pretty lopsided trade. After everything taken into consideration...linemates, salary, contracts, production, play, I think Neal is a much better player than Hornqvist.
I disagree. Hornqvist will have a career year and score almost as many points as Neal. You can't forget Spaling either, who could likely hit 40+ points next year as a defenseman.

Well, Neal has been a point per game player for the Penguins the last three years. As I said, I like Hornqvist, but I don't think his skill set can get him to a point per game rate. I find often times people overrate how well a line mate will increase a players point totals...Keith Jones once said Dany Heatley would score 60 goals playing with Joe Thornton (he scored 39).

I don't know if it was mis-typed, or if you're confusing Spaling with another player, but he's a centre not a defenseman. I didn't catch this.
