Chiasson is really fucking good. I've been a huge fan of his since last season. I'm happy with this.

I don't know much about any of the players coming to Ottawa.....but I'm ok with the trade, I just want him gone.

Chiasson will score 20+ goals next season and could become a 30+ goal scorer in a few years.

          MacArthur - Turris - Ryan
          Michalek - Zibanejad - Chiasson

Very possible but I still don't think we will win.

I like this trade. I'm a big fan of Chiasson, and I find Guptill to be an interesting prospect. A bit of a project for sure, but high potential. A 1st would have been cool, but a 2nd is pretty nice for the 2015 Draft (especially since we have our 1st and 2nd). Don't forget we have some amazing scouting...we've gotten Wiercioch, Silfverberg, Lehner all in the 2nd round.

Well, what is Murray supposed to do in his situation? Remember, you have a disgruntled player who's asked for a trade. And you have to deal with an internal budget and a crazy owner.

Dallas is looking quite nice though.

Pretty excited about the return. Chiasson had huge power forward potential. Pretty much a lock to be a perennial 30-goal power forward, in my opinion. The two prospects we got aren't exactly bluechip top prospects, but they both have the potential to be solid NHL players, and all three of the players we got are at least 6'3. And the 2nd rounder is in 2015, such a strong draft class that it's as good as a late first rounder in most years, depending where Dallas finishes I guess.

I think Chiasson more-than replaces Silfverberg, honestly. You make a very good point, though. Plus, if you look at the Sens draft, they drafted big, too.
