Ottawa Redblacks: BEST fan experience in town. I emphasize this because Redblacks football at TD Place is exactly what Sens hockey SHOULD have been. What a shame. The irony? They've been getting a lot of fan support despite being the worst team in the CFL. I take back by Burris is incredible comment...he's been one of the teams biggest problems. Except he was really good in the last game. The defense turned out to be pretty strong, though.Comment

Defense is really impressive. And the offense is just comical. Even when they play well, they make so many rookie mistakes. Glad the fans have been patient with the expansion team growing pains. PLAID.Comment

Yup. The crazy thing is, they could easily be 5-6 or so right now and first in the East. They've hung in there with some pretty good teams over the year.Comment

After the first season (well, one game left), here are my thoughts:
- Our offensive linemen are one of our biggest problem. Burris will get sacked if he doesn't move the ball in the matter of a couple seconds.
- Maher...he either needs to really improve or they need to find a better kicker
- Burris is very inconsistent. He'll be able to string together five great plays and move up the field, but then get sacked and turn the ball over.
- Danny O'Brien looked good in little samples but we saw he also had his fair share of negative plays when he got more time. In general, he might be a better option for the team to win games than Burris is right now. DeMarco looked decent, though
- I was impressed with Roy Finch. I think it's going to be between him and Chevon Walker for the starting RB job.Comment

I was at the game Friday and must say that it was a very pleasant expansion season. I agree with Alfie^ particularly about the o-line. I also genuinely believe that this team could have been much closer to .500 simply by improving the turnover ratio. You gotta believe in O'Brien cos Burris is 7985692357305 years old.Comment

Yeah, it's actually been an ok season despite the terrible record. They've been in a lot of games, and it seemed like every week something went wrong. The botched field goal attempt vs BC, the turnover in the red zone against Edmonton, the blocked field goal against Saskatchewan, the final play vs the Alouettes, the blown call the last time we played the Alouettes.
I wouldn't be opposed to the Redblacks dropping Burris going into next season and running with DeMarco and O'Brien and probably signing someone else.Comment
